About us!
Established in 2017, the Christchurch Indoor Radio Control Car Club (CIRCCC) is the largest model car racing club in the South Island, NZ where racers, hobbyists, families and children can come to enjoy indoor Radio Controlled Car Racing.
CIRCCC is affiliated with the national body the New Zealand Radio Car Association (NZRCA). The NZRCA has international affiliations with the regional RC car racing body called the Far East Model Car Association (FEMCA). FEMCA is one of the four blocks that makes up the International Federation of Model Automobile Racing (IFMAR). IFMAR is the world stage of Radio Control Car Racing.
CIRCCC races under NZRCA rules found here (Electric Powered Off-Road Rules as of January 2025).
We typically race twice per month, during the winter, or once a month, during the summer. We run the classes of racing below::
- 2 wheel drive buggy – 10.5 turn blinky.
- 2 wheel drive buggy – 17.5 turn blinky.
- 4 wheel drive buggy – 8.5 turn blinky.
- 2 wheel drive short course truck – 10.5 turn blinky.
- 2 wheel drive stadium truck – 10.5 turn blinky.
We use the Mylaps / Livetime Scoring system at CIRCCC – with all of our results being uploaded to the Livetime servers.
